A Toolkit to Help Your Agency With Quality Self-Employment Outcomes

About this Session

In this session, you’ll learn how a new self-employment toolkit can support your agency in improving the quality and consistency of self-employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Built through a collaborative, multi-year effort with input from multiple state VR agencies and stakeholders, the toolkit provides adaptable strategies, real-world examples, policy ideas, and decision-making supports. Presenters share key themes such as rapid engagement, cultural responsiveness, and creative closure approaches, helping agencies use the toolkit in ways that align with their own processes and goals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore key features of the self-employment toolkit that support policy development, feasibility planning, and case closure for VR agencies.
  • Identify flexible tools and strategies your agency can adapt to improve access, engagement, and success in self-employment services.
