The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Employment of People Who are Blind or Have Low Vision has published a new advice sheet providing information for people who are blind or have low vision and are considering disclosing their visual disability at work.

Topics include the benefits, the pros and cons, protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), how to prepare to disclose, and other topics that will help an individual decide whether to share that information.

The advice sheet also provides resources that may help employers and employees learn more about disclosing their visual disability in the workplace. The advice sheet is based on the RRTC's recent webinar by the same title.
