Join us for updates and conversation about using Federal funds to provide pre-employment transition services.

This "Watch Party" will include communal viewing of a presentation by NTACT:C staff members, Melissa Diehl and Christine Johnson that provides an overview and background of the Notice of Interpretation (NOI) published in the Federal Register on February 28, 2020 by the Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) regarding the use of Federal VR funds reserved for pre-employment transition services.

The Watch Party also includes an interactive conversation immediately following the viewing. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and hear from other professionals in the field around the country.

Watch Party participants will gain:

  • Understanding about using reserve funds to pay for auxiliary aids and services for any student with a disability with a sensory or communicative impairment to access or participate in pre-employment transition services.
  • Updates on policy changes on additional VR services needed by eligible students with disabilities that may be paid for with Federal VR grant funds reserved for pre-employment transition services.
  • Insights into the potential impact of the status and implementation of the NOI.

This webinar will be close-captioned and a transcript will be available.

A quiz will be available for CRC credit after the webinar.
