National Symposium on Quality Employment 2025

Thank you for joining us for the 2025 National Symposium on Rehabilitation Counseling Conference. 

This conference brought together VR practitioners, academics, researchers, administrators, and policymakers at this hybrid conference to share contemporary research, issues, and future needs to advance the profession of rehabilitation counseling.

TACQE hosted this conference to support vocational rehabilitation professionals to upgrade and increase their competencies, skills, and knowledge. Through information-sharing and collaboration, we seek to increase the capacity of State VR agencies and their affiliates to implement and sustain strategies and practices that support individuals with disabilities to achieve quality employment and career advancement.

Cost: Free, registration required.

CRCs: Attendees (in-person and virtual) can earn a total of 11 CRC CEUs, of which 5 will qualify for ethics credits.

For virtual attendees, all live stream sessions will have closed captioning and ASL interpretation.

Call for Proposals

Proposal submission deadline: Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:55 pm (PDT)

The theme of the conference is, "Evidence-based practices leading to Quality Employment of Persons with Disabilities."

The primary conference track will be vocational rehabilitation interventions and strategies.

Recognizing that readiness to work and sustainability of employment may be affected by personal and environmental factors, proposals may also focus on one of the following conference tracks:

  • Collaboration between federal, state, and local partners for quality employment
  • Psychosocial adjustment to disability
  • Health and wellness of persons with disabilities
  • Community living
  • Pre-service or in-service education in vocational rehabilitation

The symposium will be conducted in person but select sessions will be broadcast online. Presenters must be available to present in person in Madison, WI. All presenters, after notification of acceptance of their proposals, must register with the VRTAC-QE website (if not already registered).
