About the Trainings:

These in-person trainings, led by VCU, will support Iowa Department for the Blind counselors and CRPs in strengthening Supported Employment practices. Each session includes tailored content, policy guidance, and small group case study work to apply key concepts.

Counselors will join VCU for an in-person training on Supported Employment. The session will cover key topics including an overview of Supported Employment, job aides and policies, a comparison of Supported and Customized Employment, and small group case study activities.

Counselors and Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRPs) will join VCU for an in-person training on Supported Employment. The session will highlight the IDB Supported Employment program, explore rights and responsibilities, review authorizations, and include small group case study work to apply key concepts.
