Barriers to VR services in Idaho come from different directions. Some barriers have to do with poverty, while others have to do with transportation. Rural outreach includes its own unique barriers for VR. In this training, we will:
- Examine the boundaries of rural and urban areas in Idaho.
- Identify Idaho counties at greatest economic disadvantage by looking at unemployment in poverty and examining the relationship between poverty and rural Idaho.
- Focus on language and cultural barriers.
