Work-Related Soft Skills for Young Adults with Disabilities
About this Session
In this session we'll discuss the impact of "Soft Skills at Work", a training program that helped young adults with disabilities develop interpersonal skills for success in the workplace. We will examine this innovative approach to modeling, teaching, and supporting soft skills development.
Learning Objectives:
- The importance of soft skills for success and satisfaction in employment for individuals with disabilities.
- Component parts of a skill and how to subdivide a skill into teachable steps.
- How curriculum-based groups can assist in helping individuals with disabilities to develop soft skills for work.
