InVEST to Increase Competitive Integrated Employment Access – A Model Demonstration Project in PA
About this Session
This training session focuses on the InVEST initiative, a model demonstration project in Pennsylvania designed to transition individuals from subminimum wage employment to competitive integrated employment (CIE). Funded by the RSA Disability Innovation Fund, the InVEST project uses innovative strategies, such as family engagement and Integrated Resource Teams (IRT), to enhance employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Participants will learn about vocational rehabilitation interventions, outreach efforts, and real-life examples of customized job supports aimed at promoting inclusive workplaces.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the InVEST model’s strategies for transitioning individuals from subminimum wage to competitive integrated employment (CIE), and how these interventions can be applied to improve access to CIE.
- Learn how to implement Integrated Resource Teams and family engagement strategies to support holistic, person-centered approaches that promote successful competitive employment for individuals with disabilities.
