Development of an Undergraduate Return to Work Certificate
About this Session
The Undergraduate Return to Work Certificate, developed in consultation with experts, emphasizes return-to-work interventions and total workplace inclusion strategies. The curriculum, spanning four semesters, covers universal design, health and medical care delivery systems, a return-to-work practicum, and total workplace inclusion. The culminating course, HDI 560, focuses on occupational and vocational interventions, employer engagement, and legislation's impact on total workplace inclusion, with students undertaking a research or leadership project. The course aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of work's significance, return-to-work strategies, and multidisciplinary approaches to promoting total workplace inclusion in the COVID-19 era.
