This course describes transportation barriers that impact persons who are blind or visually impaired and details NRTC research about how to overcome those barriers. Results from the customized transportation intervention, a national transportation survey, and a provider focus group are presented. (1-hour)

Course Objectives:
- Describe transportation barriers impacting persons who are blind or visually impaired.
- Understand the complex issues associated with identifying, evaluating, and accessing transportation options.
- Identify the methods most people who are blind or visually impaired use to overcome transportation to work barriers.
- Locate and use resources for transportation planning with consumers who are blind or visually impaired.
