The Rural Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) + Technology Toolkit provides practical information and guides for employment specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, teachers, and other professionals serving supported employees with IDD in rural areas on how to use technology to improve supported employment service delivery. Within the toolkit, practitioners will find an array of technology-focused strategies and resources that can enhance the delivery of high-quality, individualized supported employment services, while mitigating some of the persistent barriers people with IDD encounter in rural areas.
This document is crafted with a focus on practical application, aiming to serve as a hands-on resource that can be used to plan and orient services in rural communities and beyond. Rather than a reference guide, it is intended to provide tools and resources that can be explicitly implemented in daily work with job seekers and supported employees with IDD.
